Ethanol Blend Storage Tank Pre-Conversion Preparation
Ethanol-gasoline fuel blends are proliferating throughout the United States and are currently available in Georgia. Ethanol-blended gasoline is considered to be superior to pure gasoline because it has generally lower fuel costs, and reduced emissions impact. Georgia Oilmen's Services (GOS) provides tank cleaning services for ethanol storage preparation with convenient scheduling for businesses throughout Georgia and Florida.
GOS provides the following for ethanol tank conversion:
- Tank content sampling to determine the magnitude of debris and water within the tank.
- Tank bottom sweeping to remove water and non-attached debris.
- Pressure spraying of the bottom potions of the tank to loosen and extract debris.
- Inspection of tank top components and replacement of gaskets and/or seals.
- Replacement of filters.
- Periodic maintenance program to check for water and debris in tanks.
