Employment Opportunities
Georgia Oilmen’s Service’s, Inc. (GOS) is a wholly owned subsidiary formed by the Georgia Oilmen’s Association, Inc. (GOA). GOA is a trade association representing petroleum distributors in the state of Georgia. GOS serves the industries of petroleum marketing, banking, real estate, insurance and other parties requiring environmental services. GOS was formed, in part, due to the increase in demand for reliable, professional environmental consulting and remediation design services provided at reasonable prices. The demand for other services has resulted in GOS offering environmental assessment, mobile remediation, tank cleaning and tank testing and compliance services.
If you are interested in providing your clients with the best environmental services possible at minimal costs, then you may want to consider a position with GOS. We strive to provide our clients with the highest quality work. GOS is strongly committed to acquiring professionals with the background and goals that can meet these standards. Our staff has eighty-plus years of combined experience in the environmental consulting business. We are continually attending seminars and training courses to ensure up-to-date solutions to meet our clients’ needs. We have the expertise and knowledge to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget without compromising technical quality.
GOS is not currently hiring. However, should an employment opportunity become available in the future, we are looking for individuals with experience to perform Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, underground storage tank (UST) closures, Corrective Action Plans, and remediation for typical petroleum related concerns. Prospective employees must have thorough knowledge of Georgia’s Rules for Underground Storage Tank Management and guidance documents. Individuals must have good organizational skills and be capable of managing multiple projects concurrently. In addition, individuals must be able to travel statewide periodically. Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint is a plus. Excellent writing, communication and verbal skills are a must. Qualified individuals must have a B.S. in civil or environmental engineering, geology or related discipline.
