Diesel Storage Tank Treatment and Cleaning
Georgia Oilmen's Services (GOS) can clean the tank of any stored fuel. However, a fuel like diesel requires treatment with a biocide prior to tank cleaning. Algae buildup and deposition must be halted prior to tank cleaning. Otherwise, the tank owner may find that the tank will require recleaning often, with continued algal development.
Once the biocide program has been successfully completed, the cleaning process is identical to the procedure described above under Ethanol Blend Storage Tank Pre-Conversion Preparation.
